SKUAST Kashmir Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (SKIIE)

SKIIE Centre is the dedicated innovation and incubation arm of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K). Set up as an independent entity, the first of its kind at any State Agricultural University in India, it operates with the speed and flexibility to fund startups, build industry partnerships, and commercialise research directly. We help researchers, students, and entrepreneurs turn ideas into working businesses across agri-tech, AI, food processing, biotech, and rural enterprise. The centre operates through several funded programs, including a DST-backed Technology Business Incubator, a NABARD Rural Business Incubation Centre, and BIRAC's E-YUVA programme, and partners with institutions like IIT Delhi's FIIT to strengthen mentorship and industry linkages. To date, SKIIE has supported 100+ startups, facilitated 130+ patent filings, and raised over ₹13.5 Crore in early-stage funding. The centre was recognised as "Incubator of the Year" at the JK Startup Mela 2026 and received the Excellence in Agri-Incubation Leadership Award at the national Sustainable Agriculture Summit in New Delhi.
