Investor Portal

Registering as an Investor

Registration asks you two questions that are awkward to change afterwards: are you investing as yourself or as a firm, and what kind of investor are you. This page explains what each answer commits you to.

What you will learn

  • How to sign in and reach the portal
  • Choosing between an individual and an organisation
  • What the investor type decides
  • What the page type is and why 'Others' asks a follow-up
  • Holding more than one investor identity

Signing in#

Investors sign in on the main platform, not on a separate address. One account carries every role you hold - founder, mentor, investor - and you move between them from inside.

One account, every role.
  1. 1

Use the email you registered with.

  2. 2

    Open your portals

From the feed, Access Your Portal lists every identity you hold. If you have no investor identity yet, Create an organisation or set one up from the investor onboarding screen.

Every identity on one account. The badge on the right is your role in that workspace.

Good to know

Invited to somebody's fund? You do not register at all - accept the invitation from your Invitations page and the investor role is added for you.

Individual or organisation#

The first question is the one that matters. It decides whether there is a team at all.

Individual for your own money, Organisation for a fund with colleagues.

Choose Individual if…

you write cheques yourself and nobody else needs to log in. There is no team, no roles, no seats - just you.

Choose Organisation if…

colleagues will work the pipeline with you, or the money belongs to a fund rather than to you personally.

This is not reversible in place

An individual profile cannot become an organisation later. If you may eventually have colleagues, create the organisation now - you can keep your personal angel profile alongside it.

Creating an organisation#

The form is short, and only the first four fields are required. Everything below them is profile material you can fill in later - but the two type fields decide what the workspace can do, so choose them deliberately.

Investor type sets your commercial tier. Page type describes what kind of entity you are.
  1. 1

    Name and address

The slug fills itself in from the name and becomes your public page address. Change it now if you want it different - it is awkward to change once people have the link.

  2. 2

    Investor type

This is the important one. It fixes how many deals a month you may run, how many colleagues you may seat, and which features you get at all - see the investor types page for the full table.

    • It is not a billing choice. Paying more does not change it.
    • Changing it later resets your verification.
  3. 3

    Page type

How your entity is described publicly: VC firm, Company, Organization, Institution, or Others. It affects presentation, not permissions.

  4. 4

If you pick Others, say what you are

Others reveals a Category box - a short free-text description such as 'Investment syndicate' or 'Family trust'. It is required, because 'Others' on its own tells a founder nothing.

  5. 5

    Create

You become the owner. The workspace arrives with eight ready-made roles, and you can invite colleagues straight away.

Tip

Fill in the thesis, sectors and cheque size before you request access anywhere. Incubators read exactly these fields when deciding whether to let you see their startups.

Holding more than one identity#

Most serious investors end up with several: a personal angel profile, and one workspace per fund. The header switcher moves between them.

  • Each identity has its own subscription, its own team, its own pipeline and its own portfolio.
  • Switching changes your permissions and your plan as well as your data.
  • The portal remembers the last identity you used and returns you there.

Careful

Numbers look wrong? Check the header first. Almost every 'my portfolio is empty' turns out to be the wrong identity selected.

Common questions#

Yes. Go to investor onboarding and pick Individual. The two are independent identities on the same account.

Yes, as many as you found. Each is a separate workspace with its own team, subscription and portfolio.

Your investor profile has not been reviewed by the platform yet. You can work normally; some incubators simply prefer to grant deal room access to verified investors.

An administrator of the organisation can change it from the profile page, with a reason. Expect verification to reset - the type is the basis of your commercial tier, so it gets looked at again.

It is the public address of your page, so founders and incubators may already have linked to it. Get it right at creation.
